Miss USA's coworkers celebrate her pageant success

While 27-year-old attorney Cheslie Kryst was being crowned Miss USA in Las Vegas Thursday night, her coworkers back in Charlotte were having a hard time keeping their emotions in check.

"It was kind of like a sports viewing experience," said Nick Tosco.

"I was sitting on the bed, holding my breath and I jumped up out the bed and screamed. I was super excited and I started crying," said Karin Norman.

Kryst is a civil litigation attorney with Poyner Spruill. Her colleagues told FOX 46 that this honor could not have happened to a better person.

"She is as beautiful inside as she is outside. She is one of the smartest, sweetest and most genuine people that i know. I am so happy for her. I am so proud of her," said Susan Yow

Her looks are obvious, but her co-worker said what's most attractive about Cheslie is her desire to help others.

"We have cases that we work on together and you can see she is incredibly intelligent and she can get cases revolved for the clients. She is extremely popular with the clients and with everyone else in the office," said Tosco.

Now with Cheslie going on to compete in the Miss Universe title this December, those in her office are optimistic for what's next.

"She is unstoppable. She is the total package," said Norman.

"Now that I know what she can do the sky is the limit. That glass ceiling is breakable," said Yow.

"We are all so excited for her and this is such a great thing for Cheslie. She is such a great representative of our firm, our community, our state and now our country," said Tate Ogburn.
