Missing father, 7-year-old son found safe in Alabama

UPDATE: Daniel and Wesley Bledsoe were found safe at a family member's home in Alabama. They are in good health and safe, and will be retunring to NC on Friday, according to Alabama authorities. 


A father and his 7-year-old son have gone missing in Avery County, according to the Sheriff's Office. 

On Thursday, Feb. 7, deputies received a call from a woman stating that her husband, Daniel Bledsoe, went to drop thier son Wesley Bledsoe off at a school bus stop in the morning.

After Daniel never returned, she checked with the school, she was told Wesley never arrived. 

Wesley is approximately 4 feet tall and 50 pounds with dark blonde hair and brown eyes.

Daniel was last seen driving a White 2007 Honda CRV. The car has a damaged driver’s side front quarter panel and the NC license plate PJD-4208.
