IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - UPDATE: Lizzy Coseth Lorenzana Chevez, 16, has been found alive Friday, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. She is safe and has been returned to her family, deputies said.
"Thank you all for your assistance in getting this information out," they said.
The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 16-year-old girl they say ran away with a 20-year-old man.
Lizzy Chavez was last seen at home on 132 Fraley Road near Statesville around 10:30 p.m. Monday. Chavez’s mother discovered Lizzy Chavez missing around 8 a.m. on Tuesday January 29. Chavez left her home on foot, her clothing description is unknown. Chavez did take a blue-grey backpack with her.
Lizzy is believed to be with a Hispanic male in his early 20s who goes by the name of Cristhiane or "Chrasfell" who lives in Charlotte, deputies said. He may be driving a black Chevrolet Camaro.
