Mooresville Police arrest 2 suspects in cleaning crew attack

Mooresville Police have arrested two suspects in a shooting incident involving a cleaning crew at a charter school.

Officers responded to a shooting incident Wednesday night around 10 p.m. at Pine Lake Preparatory School. 

When officers arrived on scene they found members of the school cleaning crew standing outside the high school building.

Officers on scene were told that two former employees of the cleaning crew came onto the school property and confronted members of the current cleaning crew who were working inside the school.

Police were told an argument broke out and one of the suspects showed a handgun and fired one round into the ceiling.

During the altercation, a woman was tased by the suspects, according to a report. She was taken to Lake Normal Regional Medical Center for treatment with minor injuries.

The suspects left before officers arrived. No students or faculty were on campus during the incident.

Robert Terrell Anderson, 33, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting injury, four counts of assault by pointing a gun, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of a weapon on school grounds, damage to property and placed under a $100,000 secure bond. Kimber Marie Sumber, 28, was charged with two counts of assault and placed under a $2,500 secure bond.
