CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — More arrests have been made in the death of a 1-year-old girl wounded in a Christmas Day shooting in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Local news outlets report 22-year-old Ramone Jamarr Alson and 23-year-old Pierre Je Bron Moore were arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder.
Ronneque Williams said by phone her niece Maleah Williams died Monday. Chapel Hill police have said Maleah was critically wounded Friday afternoon after shots were fired from a vehicle.
The family says she was playing outside an apartment building when she was hit by stray fire from a drive-by shooting.
Police arrested 22-year-old Shaquille Oneill Davis on charges including attempted first-degree murder Sunday. He is in jail and is expected to return to court Tuesday.
It wasn't immediately clear if any of those arrested had attorneys.
