CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - The past eight days have seen lots of rain in and around the Charlotte area and that trend will continue this weekend.
Light showers and a misty drizzle will consistently plague the Charlotte area on Saturday and visibility will be an issue. Temperatures will be in the 40's.
A number of floods are causing problems in the mountains with one to two more inches to be expected over the next 24 hours. More heavy rain is expected in Boone and Ashe County.
The Queen City has already seen 3.9 inches of rain in the last eight days, which is more than what is expected for the entire month of February.
Rocky River, Harrisburg and Charlotte Motor Speedway are some of the areas where flooding has been reported.

Rain and a possible thunderstorm or two is expected Sunday morning in Charlotte with the skies clearing in the afternoon. It will be very windy late Sunday into Monday morning. Temperatures on Sunday are expected to reach into the 70's.
Rowan and Chester counties can expect heavy rain on Sunday.
Dry conditions are expected in Charlotte for the upcoming work week.
