CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Starting Monday night, April 2, intermittent lane closures will be in place along Interstate-77 in both directions between Tyvola Road and the South Carolina line as crews install pavement markings.
NCDOT said this is ongoing work from an $11.4 million resurfacing project the N.C. Department of Transportation was awarded last year to Blythe Construction, Inc. of Charlotte to improve about five miles of Interstate-77, along with some bridges in the corridor.
The moving lane closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night through the end of April. Drivers should remain alert and use caution.
Work will be weather permitting.
