CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - NBA All-Stars showed kids at Hemby Children's Hospital a whole lot of love this Valentine's Day.
It was a day full of laughter, hugs and smiles.
"At the end of the day, it's about giving back and showing you care," said Bucks Forward Khris Middleton.
The current and former NBA players played Uno and other games with kids-- bringing excitement to the patients at Hemby Children's Hospital and its St. Jude affiliate.
"Every day they come in, it's probably the same thing-- sticking a needle in them and poking them," said NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton. "So for us to come sit down and have a fun day playing Uno-- it makes them keep their mind off the situation."
"Just to show we want to spend time with them and put smiles on their faces -- that's what it's all about," said Middleton.
