The Rowan County Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos Monday with the hopes someone will recognize a group of women who they say brazenly robbed a Dick's Sporting Goods on St. Patrick's Day and pepper-sprayed an employee before walking out the door.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at the Dick's Sporting Goods located on Julian Road in Salisbury.

Deputies said three women entered the store, gathered various clothing items, and walked toward the exit without paying for the merchandise. A store employee attempted to confront the three suspects at the door, and one of the women sprayed the employee in the face with a chemical agent thought to be pepper spray.

The three suspects ran from the store and left in a gray colored four-door Honda Accord with the tag removed from the car, and possibly a second burgundy colored four-door, deputies said.

The store employee was treated for the pepper spray attack. Anyone with information on these three suspects is asked to call Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Deputy Justin Miller at 704-216-8700.
