President Barack Obama is making a trip down south to visit Georgia.

Obama is scheduled to travel to Atlanta Tuesday to give remarks at the Georgia Tech campus. Students started lining up in the very early hours of the morning Tuesday to secure their seats inside McCamish Pavilion for Obama's speech.

The president's speech will center around education and college affordability, but it comes just one day after he announced a new technology training initiative.

"TechHire" is a federal grant program that will offer $100 million in grants to local communities, training centers and companies to fund tech education for low-skill workers.

According to the White House, 21 different communities have signed on for the project. Atlanta is not on that list.

Due to the presidential visit, Fowler Street will be closed from 6th Street to 10th Street from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Doors at McCamish open at 10:30 a.m.

The president also planned to attend a fundraising event for the Democratic National Committee.
