One person severely beaten in robbery, carjacking in Gastonia

Gastonia Police are investigating a robbery and carjacking where one person was severely beaten, according to police. 

The incident occurred in the 200 block of Hartman St. on Saturday evening around 7:30 pm. Three suspects were involved in the robbery and carjacking, but no description was given.

Police say they approached a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was occupied by 2 Hispanic males and one Hispanic female. The suspects 'severely beat' one of the males and then robbed all of the individuals before getting away in their car. 

The victims report that their wallets were stolen along with their iPhones and over $200 in cash. Their debit/credit cards were also stolen. 

The condition of the man who was severely beaten is unknown.
