A Wilkesboro man who was armed and entered a local Walmart on Saturday was arrested, police say.

Witnesses on the scene said a white male, possibly carrying a knife, was causing a disturbance and the suspect had left the store, possibly going into another store, Dunham's Sports.

An employee at Dunham's told officers a man with a gun was in the back of the store.

It is unclear at this time what the suspects intentions were.
