Panthers fans brave the cold to meet their favorite players

Panthers fans lined up outside the practice field Wednesday to meet their favorite players for an autograph or to possibly exchange gifts.

The fans brought out just about anything for the players to sign.

We spotted one little kid who didn't need an autograph but wanted to give a medal he earned from his flag football team to his favorite player.

"It's for Luke and when he gets out I'm going to give it to him, for good luck," Matthew said.

Thanks to fellow Panthers fans Matthew was able to get Luke the medal and he received an autograph in return.

More than 70,000 people will gather inside Bank of America stadium to watch the game Sunday.

Fans say it's more than just rooting for the team, interacting with them off the field gives them a sense of community.
