What a guy! Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis went above and beyond this week when he and his wife paid for the rings of Harding University High School's football team after the students won the state championship.

The high school football team won their division championship football game this past Saturday in Winston-Salem.

A fundraiser was started to help students purchase the expensive championship rings after the joyous team received their championship shirts and medals earlier this week.

The generous donation made by Davis and his wife was announced Friday morning on Power 98. Ms. Jessica with Power 98 posted the good news to social media.

"I got word from our State Football Champs from Harding University High School needed about $20,000 for their championship rings. So the players came up on the show today and we asked Maddhouse Nation for help. That's where this man steps in! Thomas Davis from the Carolina Panthers immediately hut us up saying, 'I got em,'" Ms. Jessica wrote.

The students could not be more excited about the news.
