Parents attempting to change CMS policy after child dropped off at wrong bus stop

Local parents, Marcus and Toni Holland, are trying to change a CMS policy that says a kindergartner can be dropped off at bus stop without an adult present.

This, after the couple's 5-year-old daughter, Ryan, was dropped off at the wrong school bus stop. Ryan started walking alone to her aunt's house, which was eight miles away.

She was seen walking along towards I-485 and was picked up by strangers who then took her to her aunt's house.

Marcus and Toni have started a petition called Ryan's Law and plan to appear before the CMD Board in hopes of changing the policy.

They currently have around 162 signatures and need 200. Want to help? SIGN THE PETITION HERE!
