Pathers fans turn out in droves for tree lighting

Panther nation is merry and  bright after the team hosted it's 2nd annual tree lighting.

This season continues to be an exciting one for the team both on and off the field and that's obvious in the number of fans who turned out for Tuesday night’s event.

The countdown could be heard across Uptown as the Panthers 58-foot Norway Spruce was lit up.

This is the team's 2nd year to host such a festive event. And with a 10-0 winning streak now under their belt fans, both young and old, were there to support them.

"The Panthers are gonna be 11-0 and the Cowgirls are gonna lose,” said one young fan.

"Keep going, keep dancing, keep nabbing on them,” said another diehard fan.

But no matter what, these fans say they'll keep dressing up.

"I don't care if we win or lose,” said one fan. “I want us to win but either way it's a fun environment, it's a great Sunday away from the house. Getting out and enjoying the Charlotte family of the Panther Nation."

And that's exactly what this event aims to do, give the Panther Nation another reason to come together.
