Pedestrian struck in restaurant parking lot by suspect in stolen vehicle

A pedestrian was struck by a car in a restaurant parking lot in southeast Charlotte, CMPD says. 

Around 9:15 p.m., a person was hit in the parking lot of the Zaxby's located in the 8905 Albemarle Rd. near Circumferential Rd. They were transported by Medic to CMC-Main with life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect vehicle was later found unoccupied in the 7201 Albemarle Rd. A K-9 unit responded, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect vehicle was a gray Hyundai Sonata that had been reported stolen at 8:49 p.m. on Wednesday. The was damage to windshield.
