'Person of interest' identified in Rock Hill shooting

The Rock Hill Police Department said they've identified a person of interest in connection to a shooting that sent a man to the hospital on New Year's Day. 

Around 4:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1 officers responded to Piedmont Medical Center for a gunshot victim who showed up at the emergency room. 

Officers located and interviewed a 28-year-old man who was being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was driven to the emergency room by a friend. The shooting incident reportedly occurred in the 1300 Block of E. White Street.

Rock Hill police said a person of interest has been identified and detectives are continuing their investigation.
