Police: 1 taken to the hospital in northeast Charlotte shooting

One person has been transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a shooting Monday morning in northeast Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. 

The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of W Sugar Creek Road. 

Medic said one person was taken to CMC-Main with non-life threatening injuries. 

No other information was immediately available.
