Police: 2 firearms stolen from unlocked cars in Huntersville

Two firearms were stolen after a group of people targeted unlocked vehicles to steal various items over the weekend in Huntersville, according to police. 

The eight reported burglaries occurred around the Blossom Hill Drive and Rosewood Meadow Lane area. 

Huntersville Police is asking residents to please remove their valuables, including firearms, from their vehicles and to lock their car doors. 

"Unfortunately, we cannot be everywhere at once and cannot predict when, or where, these types of incidents will occur," Huntersville Police wrote on Facebook.
