Police: 4 businesses robbed overnight throughout Charlotte

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after four businesses were robbed overnight throughout the city. No one was injured in any of the robberies, police said. 

The first incident happened just after 1 a.m. Monday, March 23 at a business located at 8712 Pence Road. A man robbed the location at gunpoint, police said. 

About an hour later at 2:09 a.m. officers responded to 9025 Mallard Creek Road in reference to an armed robbery. A man robbed the business at gunpoint and fled the scene. 

A third robbery was reported at 4:33 a.m. at 575 Clanton Road. A man robbed the business at gunpoint and again fled the scene, police said. 

About a half hour later at 5:04 a.m. a fourth armed robbery was reported at 2701 The Plaza. The suspect was able to get away from the scene of the crime. 

CMPD is working to determine if these four armed robberies are related. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
