CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of a woman that happened back in the 90s, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Louis Samuels, 60, was charged on Monday, Jan. 28 with the murder of Yolanda Yvette Hoey.
The 25-year-old woman was reported missing by family on Feb. 3, 1991, police said. Seven days later, she was found deceased in her vehicle, parked at 1435 Ventura Way. She had been shot several times.
According to cold case detectives, Samuels is currently in federal custody at Beckley Federal Correctional Institution. He had been scheduled for release on June 18, 2019.
