Police continue to search for two men wanted in Salisbury home invasion

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office continues to search for two men who they say shot a homeowner during a home invasion in Salisbury.

The incident happened earlier this month in the 5500 block of Old Concord Road. Upon arrival, police found a 23-year-old man who had been shot in his upper left leg.

On Wednesday, Jan. 11 deputies received a call from a person who said they had sited the two suspects, Dustin Hinson, 26, and Douglas Martin Patrick, 19, at the local Walmart.  A vehicle description was also provided by the caller.

Deputies began checking the area and stopped a car matching the description provided, but the suspects were not located in the vehicle. While this search was ongoing, deputies said additional information was obtained that Hinson and Patrick could be at a mobile home located on Eastview Drive.

Deputies arrived at the location, but were unable to get anyone to answer the door.  They believed there to be someone inside of the mobile home, so a search warrant for the location was obtained.

Once the search warrant was signed, deputies executed a tactical entry to the mobile home. After a complete search of the mobile home, it was determined that no one was inside.

Both Hinson and Patrick face charges of robbery and assault. The sheriff's office considers both men to armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to contact Lt. Chad Moose at (704) 216-8687 or Detective Travis Allen at (704) 216-8715.
