Police investigate two separate shootings in neighborhoods

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating two separate neighborhoods shootings that happened on Wednesday.

The first shooting was Wednesday morning in the Steele Creek community. Eight people were inside a home on Chapeclane Road when shots were fired into the house and a vehicle.

Police said there were children inside the home at the time. No arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

The second shooting was in North Charlotte on Alma Court. Police said several shots were fired outside homes.

Police said two groups of people were arguing outside and then they started shooting. Those shots hit two vehicles and damaged a home. No arrests have been made and nobody was hurt.

"Stop the violence," said a woman who lives on Alma Court. "There are children who play out here."
