Police investigating death of homeless man near CPCC as homicide

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they are investigating a homicide at a homeless camp near Central Piedmont Community College.
Officers said they found a homeless man with an apparent trauma near the 100 block of Morrow Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old James Scott Anderson.
The death marks the city's 35th homicide so far this year.
