ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a customer who tried to cut in a Christmas Eve shopping line is accused of hitting a store employee in the head with a tube of wrapping paper.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports that police say in a report released Monday an employee at Family Dollar told officers a customer waiting to check out tried to cut in line at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Officers say the customer got mad, was asked to leave and swung a wrapping paper tube at an employee, hitting her in the head.
The shopper left the store, and employees called police. Authorities say the employee told them she had never seen the woman at the store before.
