Police: Man struck in face with shotgun during Rock Hill armed robbery

The Rock Hill Police Department is investigating an armed robbery.

Police responded to the rear parking lot of a Ruby Tuesdays off Old Springdale Road in reference to an armed robbery on Monday night.

An officer arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who told him two men in their 20 to 30's with hoodies and masks robbed him as he was getting supplies from a shipping container in the rear parking lot of Ruby Tuesday.

The victim told the officer he was in the shipping container when the two suspects came from behind the container and each pointed a shotgun at him.

He told the officer the suspects stole his wallet, iPhone and medication. He said the suspects hit him in the face and back of the head with a shotgun and told him to lie down and count while they left, according to police.

The officer reported he observed a cut on the left side of the victim's chin and a cut behind his left ear.

EMS responded and took the victim to the ER. Police are continuing to investigate the case.
