LANCASTER, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A man accused of kidnapping his pregnant girlfriend has been taken into custody this week, according to the Lancaster Police Department.
Frederickeon Lamar Twitty was arrested Monday evening, Jan. 7 by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
Twitty is accused of forcibly taking his girlfriend, Katherine Crittenden, from a home in the 800 block of Pardue St. by grabbing her around the neck. He was also armed with a handgun.
Police said Twitty forced Crittenden into the back of a four-door sedan and fled. Crittenden was able to escape when Twitty stopped at a stop sign at Chesterfield Ave.
