Police searching for suspect who flashed 11-year-old girl at Freedom Park

Police are investigating after a young girl says someone flashed her at Freedom Park.

It happened between 7-9 a.m. Thursday, according to a report filed with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

The report states that an unknown suspect exposed their private parts to the v11-year-old girl while running in the park.

No arrests have been made.

"There's no place for that anywhere. There's way too many mothers and children around here," one person told FOX 46.

Aundrea Kline says she's not surprised this happened because she was attacked at the same park a few months ago during early morning hours.

"He told me he was gonna cut my throat and kill me," she said.

Kline says she was walking through the park with her dog, Hercules, when a man walked up behind her.

"I was really nervous of course. You get the fight or flight thing happening and I called the police and they got the guy. So, I'm not surprised that that's happening I would just tell people to not walk alone."

Police have not released a physical description of the suspect in the flasher case.
