CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting a death investigation after the remains of a 67-year-old Charlotte man reported missing in 2017 were found.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Ormsby Court Wednesday afternoon after a caller located what they beleived to be human remains.
The Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the remains are that of 67-year-old Raymond Johnson. Johnson was reported missing in September 2017 after he disappeared from his home at 5920 Monroe Road.
Johnson suffered from cognitive issues, according to police. Investigators said they do not suspect foul play.
