Salisbury mom charged after daughter found holding drugs at traffic stop

A Salisbury woman wanted on outstanding drug charges was arrested at a traffic stop on Monday.

The traffic stop was conducted round 2:00 p.m. by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office on Julian Road in Salisbury, NC.

During the traffic stop officials discovered Jamie Dawn Agee, 31, was the rear passenger. 

Agee had outstanding warrants charging her with sell/deliver of schedule II opana and possess with intent to sell/deliver opana from an undercover transaction with deputies on April 20.

During the search incident to arrest seventy five 10 milligram tablets of oxycodone were found in a tube concealed inside Agee.

It was determined that her 10-year-old daughter had been provided an additional tube containing twenty three tablets of 10 milligram oxycodone and $587. 

Agee was also charged with trafficking opium by transportation and possession, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, misdemeanor child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $100,000.

Agee was convicted of misdemeanor larceny on January 14, 2016, and was on supervised probation for 12 months.  Agee has a pending probation violation charge.
