SC businessman, billionaire visits Panthers facilities ahead of potential buy

South Carolina businessman Ben Navarro was in town on Monday meeting with the Carolina Panthers' team officials, and touring facilities.

Our FOX 46 cameras caught the billionaire businessman inside the Bank of America stadium making his rounds just before noon.

Navarro is the second potential buyer who's had an up close and personal look of the Panthers facilities. He's the founder and CEO of the Sherman Financial Group, an investment and lending firm.

A spokesperson told FOX 46 its principal business is providing consumer credit through its subsidiary Credit One Bank. Navarro has an estimated net worth of $3.5 billion.

Navarro's visit comes a week after that of Alan Kestenbaum, a Canadian steel billionaire, who met with the team, the NFL reports.

A third potential buyer is expected to visit Tuesday.

Hedgefund billionaire David Tepper has yet to meet with team officials even though he emerged as a potential buyer back in February. Tepper has minority ownership in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
