LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A Lincoln County man is facing multiple charges after he sexually assaulted two children who were between the ages of 7 and 11-years-old at the time, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
On Jan. 24, 2019 deputies received a report from Lincoln County Department of Social Services of statutory rape and indecent liberties with two children who were between 7 and 11-years-old when the attacks occurred.
During the investigation detectives discovered the suspect, Jesus Diaz Guzman, 30, of Lincolnton, had vaginal intercourse with one of victims and inappropriately touched both children who were known to the suspect. Deputies said Guzman confessed to inappropriately touching the children during an interview on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
Guzman is charged with one felony count of statutory rape of a child by an adult and two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He's being held on a $150,000 secured bond.
