Southern Tiger Collective brings street art to the warehouse

A group of Charlotte street artists are opening a business in NoDa -- launching with a party on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m.

The Southern Tiger Collective is known for street art across Charlotte.

"We want to get into screen printing, embroidery," one member said. "We're going to collaborate with artists and help them make shirts.

The Collective is renting a space at 2029 North Davidson Street. It said like-minded artists are welcome to come create, practice, bounce ideas and hang out.

"it's just a matter of trying to figure out what the art can do to promote positive change in a variety of different sectors," another member added.

A number of their artwork can be viewed on Instagram at pages like ALXDLRG and DESCPICABLED.

Saturday's party is open to the public and goes until 8 p.m.
