STANLY COUNTY, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A Stanly County man is accused of killing a 25-year-old pregnant woman who has been missing for just under a week, the Sheriff's Office says.
On Wednesday, Feb. 27, detectives charged Jospeh Lee Rhodes, 30, with the murder of Sasha Lee Duley Naylor and the murder of her unborn child.
Rhodes' charges stem from an investigation into Naylor's disappearance. She was last seen in late August of 2018 and was pregnant at the time of her disappearance.
According to a Silver Alert issued for Naylor, the last place she was seen was at Rhodes' home in the 24600 block of Kates Drive in Albemarle.
Naylor's car was found on fire in the Marshville area of Union County. Detectives are investigating how it got there and why it was burning.
