Statesville woman turns self in for fatally stabbing boyfriend

Statesville Police say a woman has turned herself in for fatally stabbing the man she was dating in December. 

Roshedia Keisan Bruner, 34, turned herself in at the Statesville Police Department Monday afternoon. She was taken into custody and charged with murder. 

On Saturday Dec. 9, officers were called to the 1500 block of Wilson Lee Blvd. just before 9:30 p.m. for an assault.

Upon arrival, they found a man, who was identified as 44-year-old Harry Max McLaughlin, suffering from stab wounds to the leg. McLaughlin was taken to Iredell County Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds. 

Following an investigation officers obtained a warrant for Bruner's arrest. She is currently being held under no bond. Her first appearance is set for Tuesday, Jan. 9.
