Stolen property, drugs found on armed car robbery suspects

A pair of individuals were arrested for their involvement in a car robbery attempt in Charlotte early Tuesday morning.

29-year-old Korey Scott and 24-year-old Jenna Stewart were taken into custody and are being charged with breaking into a vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon.

At approximately 3 a.m. CMPD responded to reports of a car being broken into. A short time later officers saw the suspect's vehicle, a white Honda Accord, and conducted a traffic stop where the two were detained without incident.

Scott and Stewart were interviewd by detectives and as a result it was determined the two would face charges, seven counts of breaking and entering. Additional stolen items were found in the Honda.

Scott is also accused of firing two shots at the victim.

Scott was also charged with possession and intent to sell and distribute cocaine.
