CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A man has died after a shooting across the street from UNC Charlotte. The homicide comes just one day after an on-campus shooting left two people dead and four others injured.
Javier Concepcion-Perez, 20, has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Donqwavias Davis. Perez was arrested just four days after the shooting.
Davis's family has been notified of his death.
Around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 9900 block of University Village Blvd, Chuck Wagon/University Village, for an assault with a deadly weapon.

Upon arrival, Davis was found with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital by Medic with life-threatening injuries, and he was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating. They say the victim has no affiliation with UNC Charlotte, and that the shooting stemmed from a fight that began at the neighborhood pool.
No other information has been released at this time.
