Chesterfield County, SC - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged the man involved in the deadly shootout in Chesterfield County Sunday with five counts of attempted murder.
Rashawn Montez Little was arrested at 5:44 am Monday in the woods near the scene. Chesterfield County Deputies say he ran and resisted arrest, so deputies used a taser to subdue him. He was then arrested without injuries.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff, Jay Brooks confirms two people are dead and one is seriously injured, but in stable condition. Deputies say the suspect shot at least three people Sunday night near State Highway 151. Deputies say one of the gunshot victims was flown to a hospital for treatment.

Police responded to a trailer park neighborhood around 7:30 p.m. Sunday for shots fired. When officers arrived they found a man shot. Rashawn shot at officers from inside the trailer, got into a car and drove off, according to police. The suspect exchanged fire with officers and deputies in the woods after crashing into a ditch on Evan Mills Road. None of the officers were hurt.
Brooks says Shannon Little's three children witnessed their mother get shot and they are now with their grandparents.
Fifty officers were on scene Sunday night into Monday morning, along with SLED helicopters and canines. Officers were set up every 200 yards in the area to build a perimeter.
Three officers were put on administrative duty. The investigation has been handed over to SLED.
