Suspect in east Charlotte murder arrested in Texas

Tyrone Miller is suspected of shooting and killing the owner of an east Charlotte cell phone repair store on Jan. 14. He was arrested in Dallas, TX on Monday, Feb. 18. 

A man suspected in the murder of an east Charlotte business owner was arrested in Texas on Monday, police say. 

Tyrone Lamark Miller was found in Dallas, and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm.

Miller is accused of shooting and killing 29-year-old Elchin Khalilov around 11:00 a.m. on  Jan. 14 at the cell phone repair shop he owned in the 3100 block of N. Sharon Amity Road. 

Miller was reportedly going after cell phones and cash, but the incident ended with Khalilov shot in the neck. He was taken to the hospital, but later died from his injuries. 

FBI and Dallas Police assisted in the capture.
