CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers are searching for the person who hit a pedestrian with his car in northeast Charlotte Saturday night.
Authorities say the person who was struck suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in the 1300 block of S. Tryon Street and West Bland Street around 9:15 p.m.
The suspect then fled the scene. Police are investigating this incident as a hit-and-run.
All lanes were shut down temporarily after the hit-and-run occurred. They have since been reopened.
