CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have made an arrest in connection to an east Charlotte robbery turned murder that happened in October.
Jessica Dawn Smith's body was found on October 18 in the 3100 block of Central Avenue. The 29-year-old had been shot, according to police.
On Wednesday, police arrested 17-year-old Tamina Rookard in connection to the crime. She is charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to CMPD.
Rookard was transferred to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
