Teen, two juveniles arrested in attempted armed robbery of Metro PCS store

A teen and two juveniles have been charged after being involved in an attempted armed robbery of a Metro PCS store, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

On Tuesday around 7:50p.m. three suspect attempted to rob the The Metro PCS store at he 7900 block of Moores Chapel Road, according to police.

Police said the store was shot into while an employee was inside, but fortunately no one was hit or injured during this robbery attempt.

Officers were nearby and noticed a suspect running towards the suspect vehicle. These officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle refused to stop and a chase ensued. The pursuit ended at the end of Heather Glen Lane at which point all three suspects ran from the (stolen) vehicle, but were later arrested, according to police.

The two juvenile's names will not be released. The third suspect has been identified as Keitavon James. He is being charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Possess a Stolen Vehicle, Possess a Handgun by a Minor, CCW-Gun, Resist/Obstruct/Delay an Officer. 

The vehicle that the suspects were driving tonight was stolen during a Robbery/Carjacking which happened two days ago. The vehicle was stolen in Charlotte from the 6300 block of Pinto Place around 6:35pm on Sunday.  During that incident, the victims were robbed of their vehicle by an unknown suspect who was armed with a firearm. The suspects tonight were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle however the Investigation is ongoing as to who committed the actual robbery of the vehicle during the Sunday incident, according to police.
