Third teen arrested in deadly 2017 Rowan County shooting

A third teenager has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in the summer of 2017 in Rowan County, deputies said. 

Xavier Dionne Lowe, 18, was wanted in the shooting death of Kornell Cook, 24.

The fatal shooting occurred in August 2017 at an apartment complex located on Williams Road, between Standish Street and Old Plank Road in Salisbury. 

Deputies said Lowe was taken into custody at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 and charged with murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling. Lowe had been "on the run" since the Aug. shooting. 

Lowe is currently being held at the Rowan County Detention Center without bond. 

The two other teenagers that were arrested in connection to this deadly shooting, Elija-wn Unique Oglesby, 18, and Travaree D'Von Miller, 18, were both charged with murder and discharging a firearm into occupied property.
