Republican Thom Tills was sworn in as U.S. Senator for North Carolina today. He won the seat after defeating incumbent Kay Hagan during the mid term elections.
“I look forward to immediately getting to work to advance the priorities of our great state, including enacting pro-growth, limited government policies that create opportunities for middle-class families, advancing our nation's commitment to our veterans and brave men and women currently in uniform, and maintaining a strong national defense,” he said in a statement.
Senator Tillis will serve on several committees, including the Armed Services Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Veterans' Affairs Committee.
