Three suspects charged in Mount Holly home invasion

The Mount Holly Police Department is investigating an armed home invasion.

Police received a call at 10:59 p.m. On Tuesday from someone who said there was a problem at one of the homes on Costner Street.

When officers arrived they saw at least one person run from the home and a vehicle leaving with no lights on. The vehicle was stopped a short time later, a foot chase took place and three suspects were taken into custody and charged, according to police.

Police spoke to residents of the home who told them that the suspects forced their way into the home and proceeded to robe them of cash and other items.

The victims told police that the suspects were armed and one of them fired a shot into the ceiling during the invasion.

Two of the victims told police that they knew the suspects.

Octavious Rikeem Deshay White, DeAngelo Oston Rice and William Joel Porter III were each charged with first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Deshay is held on a $31,000 bond. Rice and Porter are both held on a $25,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
