Time Warner Cable massive data breach

Time Warner Cable has experienced a massive data breach.

TWC says the FBI notified them that email addresses and passwords of 320,000 customers may have been stolen.

Spokespeople say TWC couldn't find who's behind the alleged attack but do say they are working to find out.

They say the personal information was likely swiped after customers downloaded some type of malicious software.

TWC is advising customers to change their passwords. “To protect the security of these customers, we are sending emails and direct mail correspondence to encourage them to update their email password as a precaution," explained Eric Mangan, director of public relations.

Morgan said Roadrunner email accounts are a particular concern.

TWC had security issues in 2009, something that could have affected 65,000 customers, according to TWC.
