The Cleveland County Board of Education voted to have its attorney write a policy that will allow a Christian prayer to be said before each board meeting on Monday.
The Cleveland County Christian Law Enforcement Association first brought this idea to the table.
"Cleveland County is a majority Christian community," the group said in a statement letter. "...and our commissioners, boards and councils should report who we are."
The board hopes to have the policy by its first November meeting. It will then be voted upon.
