CHARLOTTE, NC - Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte’s South End has closed its doors, now everything inside is being auctioned off Friday.
The music venue off Tremont Ave. has been around for 20 years.
The building was sold last year.
"At first I was like I don't want to sell this, I don't want to sell that. Everything means something, everything has a memory,” said John Hayes, Tremont Music Hall owner.
Hayes said the building may be gone, but the venue will eventually return at a new location.
"I think in the short term we are just going to decompress a little bit and then maybe in the long term look to maybe do something on a smaller scale,” Hayes said.
Hayes told FOX 46 the auction will give fans of the venue a chance to take some of their memories home.
"I just want to thank everybody for being a part of that and letting us be a part of the music scene here in Charlotte,” Hayes said.
The auction will be held at 11 a.m at Tremont Music Hall.
