Trump to speak on immigration in Greenville, NC

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Donald Trump's planned visit to eastern North Carolina next week adds to the schedule of top-of-the-ticket candidates coming to the presidential battleground state in the coming days.

Trump's campaign announced the Republican presidential nominee will hold a rally to discuss his immigration policy Tuesday evening at the Greenville Convention Center. Also that day Democratic vice presidential pick Tim Kaine will deliver in Wilmington a national security address. Kaine will also attend a fundraiser Tuesday in Chapel Hill.

And Hillary Clinton is the featured guest at another private fundraiser in Charlotte on Thursday.

A Fayetteville town-hall meeting this Saturday with Republican VP nominee Mike Pence was canceled Friday. The Trump campaign didn't give a reason, but Tropical Storm Hermine was expected to move through eastern North Carolina on Friday and Saturday.
